Have an unforgettable night of entertainment!
"To Bean or Not to Bean" murder mystery written by Dr. Clarance Benes
(6 men-6women+investigator, slapstick humor, no special costumes required) Tonight is the last company picnic for the now closed Bean Paper and Bag Company and former employees will be trying to find out who killed their boss, Charles "Chili" Bean. LAST night Chili had some employees over for a "farewell" party which wound up being his farewell.
So as guests arrive along with the prime suspects, they will start accusing each other of the murder of their employer Charles "Chili" Bean at his the night before.
Nevel Ben Wright will be conducting the investigation despite never have solved a murder case before. After about 90 minutes or so of interrogation, examining evidence, and re-interrogations, he will read the "arrest warrant" that arrives from the police lab. Shortly before this, suspects are allowed to "vote" on whom they think committed the crime.
Who killed Charles "Chili" Bean? Was it…..
- the wife, Lima Bean, ambitious, suspicious, and now rich widow?
- the jealous younger brother Peter "the heater" Bean, and now the President of the failed company?
- the quiet tough truck driver, Rolin Weels, and who is one shady character?
- the talentless personal secretary, Krystal Klear, and who may have been a real personal secretary ?
- the gum chewing receptionist, BeeYon A. Shadoe, who may not be as dumb as she acts?
- the new sales rep. Minie Sails, and who has been around the block and the country?
- the bookworm & press operator Will Gates, and who works late at night doing what?
- the ambitious plant manager, Zena Hardy, and who was supposed to be running the
company?
- the egotist accountant Donald Stumped, and who was responsible for the money?
- the company’s security man, Smitty "the snake" Wesson and is a few bullets shy of a full magazine?
- the always drunk warehouse person Otis J. "the drunk" Daniels and who couldn’t remember if he did?
- the clumsy packaging clerk Ima Klutz, and who could have accidentally killed
him for some reason?
Perhaps the newsletter "Gas Producers" has some subplot information that
could help solve this crime?
